Welcome to the Virtual Communication Lab (VCL)!
The VCL offers free consulting and online resources to support student communicators.
Our communication consultants can help with any communication-related project. We can support you at any stage of the composing process — from brainstorming your speech topic, to revising a draft of an essay, to helping you design effective visuals for your personal website or e-portfolio.
The Virtual Communication Lab is open 7 days a week, with appointment times ranging from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET. We offer online consulting through WC Online, where you can meet with a communication consultant and talk via video chat about your project. These synchronous video appointments can be 30 minutes or 1 hour long.
We also offer asynchronous feedback services if real-time appointments do not fit your schedule. You still make an appointment and upload your work anytime before the scheduled appointment time. During this time, one of our trained communication consultants will provide feedback on your work.
Please note that our scheduling system uses the U.S. Eastern (Florida) time zone.
